 Reservations

  • We charge 100% of the cost of your stay upon receiving your reservation.

    If any costs such as a pet fee were not billed with the reservation, they will be charged on arrival.

    Upon checkout, we will charge for anything incurred onsite, such as purchases of snacks and drinks from the Beyul Bodega in the Main Lodge.

    The minimum age to reserve a room is 18.

  • We will match the price you see on a 3rd party site if it is lower than what you see here on Beyul’s website - just give us a call at 970-927-4188 or email us at hello@beyulretreat.com.

    Any reservation made through a third-party site may be subject to different policies. If you book through a third-party site any revisions or changes to the reservation must be made directly with the originating site. Beyul cannot make any changes to third-party reservations.

    If you have any special requests or needs, please contact us directly.

  • For 1 room or cabin bookings, cancellation will be accepted without charges as long as you cancel 72 hours before your arrival date. If you cancel less than 72 hours prior to your arrival date, you will be charged for your full reservation.

    For 2 cabin or room bookings, cancellations will be accepted 1 week prior to arrival.

    For bookings with more than 2 cabins, cancellation must be made 1 month prior for a full refund. Up to 50% can be refunded if canceled 2 weeks prior to arrival.

    If you cancel less than these respective dates, you will be charged for your full reservation.

    At the time of cancellation, we will provide you with a cancellation number and an email with the cancellation notice. We suggest you save this communication.

    Should you choose to leave prior to your agreed upon departure date, please know that you will still be charged for your remaining nights.

    We do not accept cancellations due to weather.

Packing

  • Bring your groceries with you! We have a small bodega offering gourmet provisions, including snacks, beer & wine, and some select ingredients for a last-minute meal.

    For large events (i.e. 25-80 people), we work with a partner chef and can bring in our team to cater for your group.

  • Bring with you: Ingredients to cook all meals
    Including: Oil or butter; salt, pepper, and spices

    Tip: Bring a cooler with ice if you need a lot of refrigeration space

    Guests staying in Large cabins (Mountain View, Aspen Lodge and Longbranch) will have full kitchens in their cabin.
    This includes: A stove, four stovetop burners, a microwave, toaster, full sink, pots / pans, plates / bowls and cooking utensils / accessories.
    Coffee: setup and gourmet local coffee provided in cabin.

    Guests staying in Studio Cabins (Red Mountain and McGee) as well as medium sized cabins (Larkspur, Pine Lodge and Hermitage) will have their own kitchenettes.
    This includes: Two burners, a microwave, toaster, full sink, pots / pans, plates / bowls and cooking utensils.
    Coffee: setup and gourmet local coffee provided in cabin.

    Guests staying in Snug Cabins and Lodge Rooms are welcome to use the communal kitchenette located in The Main Lodge.
    This includes: Two induction burners, a microwave, toaster, full sink, pots / pans, plates / bowls and cooking utensils.
    Coffee: Drip cup coffee setup and gourmet local coffee provided in Snug Cabins.

    Valley View Cabin: One bedroom cabin with a full kitchen and coffee setup including gourmet local coffee.

    Coffee is brewed every morning in The Main Lodge.

  • Skip’s Market located in Basalt is a small local market located 40 minutes away, Whole Foods and City Market in Willits are 50 minutes away.

    In addition to our bodega, there is a small convenience store in Meredith, the Meredith General Store. It is open only during the summer and with limited hours and selection.

  • Clothing
    Casual outdoor clothing and footwear.

    Extra layers of clothing and outerwear for rapid weather changes, including rain gear. Wool base layers are a good idea, even in summer.

    Bathing suit, flip flops, and a robe for the hot tub and sauna.

    Sunscreen and a hat. Even when the temperature is mild, the rays of the sun at our elevation are intense.

    Extra socks and slippers are always good.

Arrival

  • Check-in time is between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. Check-out time is 10:30am.

    If you plan to arrive after 6pm, please contact us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements for you.

    If you desire a late check-out and your room is available, a half-day room rate will apply up to 6pm. A full-day rate will apply to guests wishing to depart after 6pm.

  • We are 26 miles up the Frying Pan River Road from Basalt at 26604 Frying Pan River Road, Meredith CO 81642.

    Please drive slowly on your way, especially through the towns of Meredith and Thomasville.

    We recommend downloading your directions prior to leaving Basalt as there is no cell phone service in the valley.

  • Frying Pan Road is a paved road and is plowed in winter, but 4WD/AWD and snow/all-season tires are necessary due to our steep, unpaved (but plowed) driveway.

    We do not accept cancellations due to weather. Frying Pan Road is well-maintained and we recommend you plan to drive here in a car with 4WD/AWD and appropriate tires.

 During Your Stay

  • Our front desk is open 8:30am to 6pm. If your travel plans have you arriving to Beyul after 6pm, please contact us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements for you.

  • Yes, we have satellite internet in the Main Lodge. There is no internet access in the cabins.

  • We do not have cell phone service at Beyul. We do have a landline and guests use wifi calling in the lodge for making phone calls. Our front desk is happy to help you set up wifi calling on your pone if you need assistance.

    We recommend downloading driving instructions on your phone prior to leaving Basalt.

  • Our Quiet Hours are between 10pm and 8am. We ask that you please adhere to those out of respect to your fellow guests.

  • At Beyul Retreat we service rooms upon departure between guests. During your stay, if you need trash removed, a change of bed linens, or a set of fresh towels, please let us know and we will gladly assist you.

    For extended private events of more than 4 nights, we can offer a mid-stay housekeeping service upon requests for an extra fee.

  • The guests are liable for any damage caused (whether by the deliberate, negligence or reckless act to the hotel, or property caused by you or any person in your party. Beyul Retreat has the right to charge the credit card on file necessary to compensate for any damage caused. Should the damage come to light after the guest has departed, Beyul Retreat reserves the right to contact you and to charge your payment for any damage incurred to your room or the retreat property. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting a specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

    Damage to mattresses and linen including, sheepskins, towels, mattress pads, sheets, bedspreads, and blankets from bodily fluids or caused by the use of body oil, red wine, make-up, and dirt will result in a special cleaning, repair, or replacement charge of $200.

  • We’re in the midst of the White River National Forest, a 2.3 million acre expanse of public land.

    If you keep a watchful eye on the way to the lodge you may catch glimpses of deer, elk, fox, coyote bighorn sheep, and turkeys. The occasional bear or moose will amble into our territory.

    Birds of prey including eagles, hawks, osprey and owls live here too. Jays, hummingbirds and a large variety of songbirds are right on site.

    Other forest inhabitants include, marmots, chipmunks, mice, and raccoons.

    Please be mindful of your food, trash and coolers. Keep them inside your closed cabin or vehicle in order to keep these inhabitants of the forest at a safe distance.

    If you do chance to spot visiting wildlife, please look but do not touch or feed them.

Special Requests

  • Depends on where you are staying.

    We allow dogs to stay in the Snug Cabin, Valley View, Red Mountain, McGee, Longbranch, Larkspur, Pine Lodge, and Hermitage. Dogs are not allowed in the Main Lodge.

    We reserve the right to refuse a room to a guest whose dog we deem to be unsafe or overly loud in such a way as to harm or bother other guests.

    We take special care to clean each room by following special post-pet procedures. As such, we charge a $50/night/pet Pet Fee for smaller cabins and $100/night/pet for the Aspen Lodge and Mountain View cabins.

    If there are any damage we will charge an additional replacement fee.

    Please make sure to clean up after your pet and to properly dispose of any waste.

    Please do not leave your dog unattended in your room.

    Due to allergy and safety concerns, we do not allow any other types of pets.

    We welcome all service animals with the proper documentation at no additional charge.

  • We have one accessible cabin, The Aspen Lodge, featuring an ADA-compliant bathroom with a standard tub/shower with safety bars. We do not have a roll-in shower. We also offer a visual and tactile alert device, door-bell, alarm clock and Braille-labeled room numbers.

    We encourage all guests with disabilities or mobility concerns to please contact us to discuss room options, property layout and specifications.

    The roads and paths around the property are not paved and are uneven dirt and gravel (and snow and ice in the winter).

  • Smoking is prohibited in any of the indoor spaces including, lodge rooms, cabins, event tent, and main lodge area.

    Outdoor smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking areas.

    If you do smoke indoors, you will be assessed a $250 cleaning fee.

  • Please email us at hello@beyulretreat.com to discuss. We do not have an electric car charger, but we can provide an outdoor outlet for you to plug into.

  • Special requests like a Pack & Play, iron, and other items can be made by asking the Front Desk. If there is anything else we can do to make your stay with us even more special, do not hesitate to ask: hello@beyulretreat.com

 Amenities

  • We love our traditional dry cedar sauna, next to our hot tub and cold plunge! Our hot tub and sauna are open 24 hours, with quiet hours before 8a and after 9p.

    We provide spa towels for your use.

    Please note we close the hot tub every Monday for a deep clean.

  • Yes, we do.

    Due to fire restrictions, sometimes fires are prohibited.

  • We offer yoga classes and property walking tours upon requests (occasionally a staff member may not be available). Please inquire upon arrival at the front desk and we will do our best to schedule a class or walk with you during your stay.

  • We have paddleboards, a canoe and an old-school paddleboat on our pond.

    In the winter, we have snowshoes that you can borrow to explore the snowy woods.

    We have yoga mats, blocks & blankets.

    We have gourmet locally-roasted coffee and organic teas.

    We have several beautiful art installations on our property, large and small — and a network of trails to explore our land, the beautiful riverside, and the expansive national forest that surrounds Beyul on 3 sides.
