Abby Stern

Co-Founder & General Manager

Abby is dedicated to building community that is focused around environmental, social and interpersonal wellness. Since earning a B.S. in Environmental Engineering, her focus has shifted to "Community Engineering", a practice that is centered around providing infrastructure for groups and individuals to develop physical and emotional skills to better take care of humanity, and ultimately, our planet. Abby has 10 years of experience in retreat curation, event production, curriculum creation, marketing and community organizing through her work with several nonprofit organizations in Aspen, Colorado. She is a 500 RYT trained yoga and meditation instructor who leads weekly classes at Beyul. She is also a graduate of the University of Santa Monica's Soul-Centered Living course and utilizes the practices of spiritual psychology in her facilitation.

Reuben Sadowsky

Co-Founder & Head of Sales and Programming

Reuben Sadowsky was born and raised in Aspen, Colorado. While traveling the world working in event production and B corporations, he has remained connected to the cultural development of the Roaring Fork Valley. With deep commitment and respect for the “Aspen Idea” of creating places for humans to have a fit mind, body, and spirit while cultivating ideas to help the betterment of mankind. Reuben has over 15 years of experience in event production, hospitality, retreat curation, sports instruction, city and county land usage, and community development. From 2016 to 2020, Reuben leads the event, marketing, activism, and community outreach division team for Guayaki Yerba Mate, the world's #1 Mate beverage brand. Reuben is a Certified peak performance coach through the Flow Genome Project and a physical movement specialist. Reuben is a well-rounded elite athlete, pushing boundaries in speed-flying, paragliding, extreme skiing, big wall climbing, kayaking, mountain biking, and distance running.

Andrew Skewes

Co-Founder

Andrew moved to Aspen full time in 2016 from New York City, choosing Aspen for its unique combination of incredible natural beauty, world class outdoor activities, and active intellectual life. Andrew began his career as a risk management consultant at Arthur Andersen. Andrew then pursued an 18-year career as in finance, working at Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and finishing his finance career as Managing Director of equity derivative trading at Bank of America/Merrill Lynch. Andrew now focuses on private investments in various industries, with an emphasis on real estate. Andrew is the Beyul lead investor and brings extensive finance, legal and organization structure experience to the Beyul team. Andrew graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in History, has an M.B.A. in Finance and completed the curriculum for a M.S in Accounting at New York University. Andrew is also a non-practicing New York State Certified Public Accountant.

Ashley Meyers

Marketing & Strategic Projects, Investor

Ashley is passionate about connecting people and place. She currently brings that lens to deep engagement with the natural world through her work with Beyul. She is trained in permaculture, landscape design, and community forestry. She built her expertise in partnership development, product strategy, communications & community organizing in the civic sector, using technology to help citizens shape their city & government. She spent 4 years building a digital product team for the San Francisco Mayor’s Office, where she was the product manager for affordable housing and founded the Startup-In-Residence program. Before her time at the City of San Francisco, she was an early team member of national non-profit tech startup Code for America and a political campaign manager. She is an alumna of Northwestern University and was a fellow with the New Leaders Council & the Coro Center for Civic Leadership.

Bronwyn Barnes

Events & Programming

Bronwyn is a northern California native, holistic nutritionist and global nomad who loves exploring what creates joy and health in this human experience. Her passion has been to nourish the mind, body and spirit to empower humanity to live fully and vibrantly. At Beyul she has taken her interest in holistic health and BS in Nutritional Medicine into the physical environment, helping to curate spaces and experiences that invite and promote health, joy, community, and movement. 

James Gorman

Property & Capital Projects

James, born and raised in Glenwood Springs, is a self-taught builder. He has a decade of event production experience including as the production manager for Gravity Productions and Carbondale Mountain Fair.

Recent projects include building Beyul’s cedar sauna, entrance bridge, and the 1500 sf event barn.

James leads the maintenance team, and the audio/visual aspects of Beyul’s onsite events.

Gregory Ashbaugh

Chef

As Beyul's Executive Chef, Gregory Ashbaugh creates menus that nourish and sustain guests at our events and retreats. He is an expert at creating beautiful meals that feature local, seasonal, organic produce, meat, and cheese, and balancing hearty indulgence with healthy fare. He has a particular passion for live, open-fire cooking that creates a memorable dining experience at events. Before joining the Beyul team, Gregory ran a farm to table food truck in the Boulder Valley, connecting local farmers with the community. He has also broadened his culinary skills by training in a variety of cuisines and kitchens including, NYC, Paris, Maine, Oregon and Puerto Rico. Gregory continues to further his career at Beyul Retreat with a drive each day to insure his guests, staff, family, friends and community are well fed and left smiling.

Tommy Glascoff

Property Management

A suddenly sedentary lifetime wanderer, Tommy and his loyal companion Nellie are honored to call Beyul home.  A mountain man forever in training, he cherishes his role as a fire-tender and protector of these hidden lands. He enjoys studying the healing arts, ecology, and writing poetry. Tommy wakes up humbled every day to live in this magical community!

Sasha Dimitrevic

Sales and Events

Sasha believes that the most impactful success comes from a deliberate, collective effort, weaving many threads together to form a beautiful whole. Contributing from this cooperative mindset, she launches and accelerates aligned pursuits and experiences which draw people together and respect the earth. Her studies in economics, anthropology and art curation in Sydney, Australia evolved into a lifelong passion for embracing diverse perspectives and patterns, inspiring the desire to create experiences, communities and businesses all over the world. Her own ventures span a broad spectrum of community building, hospitality execution, real estate development, art advising and curation, event production, product invention and patenting and are all linked by an underlying drive to bring people together with intention, respect, and ecological awareness in order to rise together. 

Brandon Tucker

Social Media and Front Desk

Brandon was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, but is drawn to the mountains and trails more than the skyscrapers and sidewalks. With a B.S in Journalism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, he has a passion for storytelling and connecting people with nature through photography and videography. Brandon lived in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a year before moving back to Chicago to work at Lincoln Park Zoo where he photographed animals and marketed zoo events and initiatives. He loves playing guitar, backcountry camping, fishing, reading, taking photos, and eating tacos.
